About
Emily Korf
Interior Designer, Licensed MN Contractor BC809487
After pursuing her acting dreams and realizing they wouldn’t pay the bills, Emily went back to school to find another creative outlet. What followed was a career path that took her through nearly every corner of the interior design industry.
Always one to move her bedroom around as a kid, Interior Design was a natural choice. Since earning her degree, she's worked in flooring design and sales, stone countertop design and fabrication, furniture design and spatial planning, and her all-time favorite—the custom closet industry! With that wide variety of experience, she launched Elements & Principles in 2007.
Marrying her husband Bill three years later meant gaining a trades partner. Now she offers cabinet refacing as an affordable kitchen update option and loves utilizing her husband's skills to install custom closets. Emily's strong Christian faith inspires her to work hard to meet her clients’ needs both functionally and financially. Clients love her outside-the-box ideas, down-to-earth personality, wit and humor.
Some of our favorite projects start with a simple question: "Can you help me figure this out?" Whether you need a custom closet, built-in storage, a kitchen or bathroom update, or guidance planning a larger remodel, we'll help you find a solution that fits your home and your budget.
